AT-HOME IPL, MADE MORE APPROACHABLE
Explore at-home IPL for gradual hair reduction, with clear guidance to help you understand suitability and build your routine.
Suitable skin and hair combinations only. Individual results vary.
Shaving every other day. Waxing you brace yourself for. Creams with a strong smell and a long warning label. A razor kept in your bag for last-minute touch-ups. When your skin protests afterwards, none of it feels like a small chore.
Wanting another option is reasonable. At-home IPL is one of them: a gradual approach you run yourself, in private, on your own schedule. It is not a treatment for irritated skin or for any skin condition, and it does not suit everyone. Suitability depends on the device, your skin tone, and your hair colour.
Body hair is normal. Removing it is a preference, not a requirement.
Smoother-looking skin, on your schedule, in your own space. Here is what at-home IPL brings to your routine.
Sessions happen in your own bathroom, at a time you choose. No appointment, no waiting room, no explaining yourself.
You decide when to start, when to pause, and when to stop.
IPL works across repeated sessions. Nothing about it is a single-use fix, and knowing that up front makes the routine easier to keep.
Where IPL suits your skin and hair, regrowth may become less visible over time. Individual results vary.
Suitability depends on the device, your skin tone, and your hair colour. That is worth checking before you buy, not after.
The device's own instructions decide settings, areas, and frequency. We point you to them rather than around them.
THE PRODUCT
A handset for at-home IPL hair reduction, used in short repeated sessions on suitable skin and hair, following the instructions supplied with the device.
$149.95, in Porcelain Gold. Designed for white to mid-brown skin tones with black to light-brown hair, and comes with an illustrated guide and an eight-week use record card to help you settle into your routine.
Suitable skin and hair combinations only. Individual results vary.
IPL is a category of light-based hair reduction. Here is what that means, in plain language, before any particular device enters the picture.
Four simple steps from the Silqeva guide, so your first session feels familiar before you even begin.
01
Shave the area first, then make sure your skin is clean and completely dry. Skip the gel while you flash.
02
Put on eye protection before you start, and keep your eyes away from the flash window the whole time.
03
Plug Silqeva in and power it on. Hold the flash window flat against your skin before each flash, and give it a moment to recharge between flashes.
04
No more than three flashes on the same spot per session. If you notice redness, apply a soothing gel and avoid UV exposure for the next 24 hours.
Hair removal is personal. Some weeks it is a quick shave, some weeks it is something you would rather not think about at all. Silqeva gives you a quieter option: a few minutes at home, on your own schedule, with nobody else's opinion in the room.
Check your compatibility, follow the guide, and let your routine find its rhythm. However you choose to care for your skin, the choice is always yours.

Salon and clinic treatments may use IPL or laser. Silqeva brings IPL into your own space, so your routine fits around your week instead of an appointment book.
Silqeva is designed for white to mid-brown skin tones with black to light-brown hair. Here is what to consider before your first session.
IPL devices state which skin tones they are designed for. The range differs between devices and is not something you can judge by eye.
IPL responds to pigment, so very light, red, grey, and white hair generally respond poorly across the category. Check what the device specifies.
Follow the patch-test method in the guide. It tells you about one small area, and it does not override a contraindication.
Recent sun exposure, sunbeds, and fake tan are commonly restricted. The device guide sets out what applies and for how long.
Every IPL device carries a contraindications list covering skin conditions, medications, pregnancy, tattoos, and moles. Read it before buying, and speak to a clinician if anything on it applies to you.
Every Silqeva comes with an illustrated guide: skin tone and hair colour charts, step-by-step usage, and a use record card for your first eight weeks. Questions before then? Read the FAQs.
Nothing here is medical advice or clearance to use a device.
Everything you want to know about Silqeva and at-home IPL, in one place.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light: a broad spectrum of light released in short pulses. The energy is absorbed by pigment in suitable hair, and repeated use according to a device’s instructions may reduce visible regrowth over time. This is category-level information, not a performance claim for any one device.
We cannot tell you that it is. Suitability is set by the instructions for the specific device, not by how a routine feels or how a product is marketed. If your skin reacts easily, read the contraindications list first and speak to a clinician before you buy.
Sensation differs between devices, areas, and people, and we have no verified description for Silqeva. The instructions supplied with a device describe what to expect and when to stop. We do not describe IPL as pain-free.
Each device states the skin-tone range it is designed for, and the range is not the same across devices. Ours is published here once the manufacturer documentation is confirmed. Do not judge compatibility by eye or by another brand’s chart.
IPL responds to pigment, so across the category very light blonde, red, grey, and white hair generally respond poorly. The specific range for a device is stated in its instructions.
Frequency comes from the instructions for the exact device. We have not published a schedule for Silqeva because we do not have verified documentation for it, and copying an interval from another device would be guesswork.
Many at-home IPL devices instruct you to prepare the area beforehand, but the method and timing are device-specific. Follow the preparation step in your device’s instructions rather than a general rule.
Approval is area-specific and set by the manufacturer. A device cleared for legs is not automatically cleared for the face or the bikini line. The approved list for Silqeva is published once its documentation is confirmed.
Facial use is restricted on many IPL devices, and the eye area is never appropriate. Only use a device on the face if its own instructions explicitly permit it, and follow any limits they set.
IPL is generally not used over tattoos, dark moles, or broken or irritated skin. Your device’s contraindications list is the authority on this; if you are unsure about a mark on your skin, ask a clinician.
Recent sun exposure, sunbeds, and fake tan are commonly restricted before and after IPL sessions. The waiting periods differ between devices, so take them from the guide that comes with yours.
Any change is gradual and varies between people. We do not attach weeks or percentages to it, and we have no before-and-after imagery, because we have none that is real. Individual results vary.
Laser uses a single concentrated wavelength; IPL uses a broader spectrum of light. They are different technologies, and at-home IPL is not equivalent to a professional laser course.
